Our Heritage Journey

Founded in the early 2000s, ASSOCIATION AMOUNTAGNA has evolved from a small local group into a recognized organization committed to cultural preservation and community engagement. Over the years, it has organized numerous workshops, restoration projects, and cultural events that have revitalized regional heritage and fostered a deep connection between communities and their history. Our mission is driven by values such as sustainability, education, and respect for tradition, ensuring that ancestral practices are passed down to future generations and that local identities remain vibrant and alive.

Our Mission: Preserving the Heart of Our Heritage

Association Amountagna is a French non-profit organization (Loi 1901) dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and promotion of our regional heritage. Based in the heart of France, our work focuses on the vital intersection of culture, historical monuments, and pastoralism.

We believe that by restoring our historical sites and supporting traditional pastoral practices, we protect the identity of our communities and create a sustainable bridge between our history and future generations.

What We Do

Under our official classification for the Management of Historical Sites and Monuments (NAF 91.03Z), our association leads initiatives in three core areas:

  • Heritage Restoration: We actively work to safeguard and restore historical buildings and landmarks that are at risk of decay, ensuring they remain part of our landscape.

  • Cultural Valorization: Through archives, exhibitions, and community events, we bring the history of our region to life for residents and tourists alike.

  • Pastoralism & Tradition: We advocate for and promote pastoralism—the traditional practice of livestock grazing—recognizing its essential role in maintaining our natural ecosystems and cultural heritage.

Our Impact and Commitment

Since our registration in April 2018, Association Amountagna has been committed to transparency and community service. As a recognized cultural actor, we collaborate with local authorities, historians, and volunteers to ensure that our ancestral traditions and architectural treasures are not lost to time.

Our projects are designed to be inclusive, educational, and accessible to all, fostering a deep sense of pride and stewardship for our shared environment.

💡 Pro-Tips for your 10Web Site:

  1. Images are Mandatory: When you paste this into 10Web, make sure to add at least 2–3 photos of your actual work (restoration sites, mountain landscapes, or pastoral scenes). Google Ad Grants will reject sites that only use stock photos.

  2. The “Support Us” Button: At the bottom of this page, add a button that says “Support Our Mission” or “Contact Us to Volunteer.” Google wants to see that your site encourages user engagement.

  3. The VAT Number: Including your French VAT number (Numéro de TVA) is excellent for Google—it proves you are a high-level, serious entity.
